The launch and spectacular rise of Bitcoin heralded the age of Crypto Currencies. Bitcoin, Ethereum, Ripple and their like have been praised as the next iteration of Money and ridiculed as the world’s greatest Ponzi scheme. Dinkar has written a book, “Crypto Currencies in India: Not illegal, but not quite legal” which describes how and why these Crypto Currencies do not fit into the existing Indian legal framework and proposes an Indian and International legal structure that will address money laundering, terror financing and even consumer awareness issues, all without stifling innovation. Dinkar has been consulted by several entities dealing in Crypto Currencies and has also addressed a Supreme Court advocates group on the issue.
